Empties Novmeber 2016 | Haircare

I was going through the cupboard under my bathroom sink the other day and I realised three things. First of all I have way too much haircare. Second, I need to clean out that cupboard way more often. And third, I have a serious problem with leaving the tiniest amount of shampoo and conditioner in their bottles. So as a result today we have a haircare empties post.

McArthur Natural Products Scalp Care Shampoo and Conditioner*.

I have a review coming for these products but if you have a scalp that is easily irritated they’re definitely worth checking out. I’ve used these for the last 6-8 weeks and combined with my weekly coconut oil hair mask keeps all my scalp issues under control.

Will I repurchase? Yes, once I get through a few more products.

Haircare Empties

Schwarkopf Ultimate Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

I tried this one after the Sunsilk one and I like it a lot more. My hair felt like it was in a much better condition after a few washes and the keratin in the product kept my frizziness under control.

Will I repurchase? Yes.

Dove Damage Solutions.

As you can see I went through a stage of needing damage repair products and Dove was another brand I tried. Worked about as well for me as the Sunsilk one did.

Will I repurchase? Probably not.

Sunsilk Damaged Hair Reconstruction.

Helped my hair a little after I lightened it but not as much as I’d like.

Will I repurchase? Nope, I have products that do a better job.

Haircare Empties

Sunsilk Addictive Brilliant Shine*.

Cleaned my hair well but that’s it, did nothing for the shine and didn’t make it feel softer after washing.

Will I repurchase? Doubt it.

OGX Cherry Blossom Shampoo and Conditioner.

I swap to more hydrating shampoo and conditioners as it starts to get colder and this is one of my favourites. My hair feels so soft and healthy when I use this, plus it smells great!.

Will I repurchase? Yes, during the next Priceline haircare sale or when Coles has the brand for two for $20

Haircare Empties

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Shampoo and Conditioner.

I used this awhile ago now when my hair was a dark blond through the ends and while it did a good job at getting rid of any brassiness it dried my hair out a lot.

Will I repurchase? I don’t intend on lightening my hair that much again anytime soon but if I do there’s a few other brands I prefer to try.

Hello Hair Hydrating Mask Island Escape Edition.

I did a comparison post here with a few different hair masks and mini reviews. If I have a couple of free days I’ll use coconut oil and let it soak in for as long as I can but if I only have a few hours I’ll use a mask like this one that has a combination of different oils. I love using the Hello Hair masks and my hair and scalp appreciate it as well.

Will I repurchase? Most definitely.

Haircare Empties

Schwarkopf Omega Repair Intensive Mask.

I picked this up during the Priceline 40% off haircare sale because for $5 why not try it out. Worked well for softening my hair, I ended up using it as a conditioner for I had shampoos that dried my hair out too much

Will I repurchase? Probably, during the next sale.

Hask Argan Oil Deep Conditioning Treatment.

I picked this up randomly one day while at Priceline because I was curious and got two uses out of it. Left my hair feeling soft and healthy.

Will I repurchase? Yes but only during Priceline sales as $5 for two uses is a little expensive.

Speaking of sales, the Priceline haircare 50% sale is on today and tomorrow. What will you guys be picking up? I need some ideas of what to pick up. 🙂
