Festive Nails | Blogmas

What better way to get in the festive mood than by sitting down with a hot chocolate and adding a bit of Christmas to your nails. I’m not a massive jewellery person but I’ll happily sit down once a week to do my nails. I recently did an order with Mermaid Julisa to pick up some perfect Christmas shades and I thought today would be a perfect time to show them off, as well as a few other shades perfect for this time to give you the perfect festive nails.

For today’s post, I went with traditional shades as well as a couple of fun options for if you like a bit of glitter and bling in your nail looks. While my nail looks are limited to solid colours normally, I do love using a glitter shade for a feature nail or on my tips so don’t expect anything too fancy.

The shades I used today are

Llama Del Rey – a neutral creamy white.

Cinnamon Roll – a metallic gold.

Super Trooper – a dark green with gold glitter in a variety of sizes.

Carmin Parisien* – a medium warm red.

Bleu Royal* – a deep navy blue.

Dasher – a rose gold glitter in a clear base.

Make It Magical – a gold glitter in a clear base.

Shimmy Shake – a silver glitter in a clear base.

Make It Magical and Shimmy Shake are both discontinued but ant gold and silver glitters you own will look just as good.

I used two coats for each shade, plus a third for Make It Magical and Shimmy Shake. Llama Del Rey I also did a third coat but it depends on if you want it fully opaque.

I love glitter tips so of course, I had to include my fave combinations. White goes perfectly with any glitter. Red looks gorgeous with gold and silver glitter. Blue and silver is one combo I’ve loved since I was a child and as you can see they work beautifully together.

If you’re more of a nude nail kind of gal then try adding a silver or gold glitter to your mani for Christmas.

What polish are you doing to rock this Christmas?
